Setting up your DomainsFoundry domain to host a static website on Amazon S3 is easy.

Please note this help guide assumes you have already configured a static website on Amazon S3.

Step 1: Point your domain to your Amazon S3 Bucket

  1. Log in to your DomainsFoundry Dashboard. Click Domains > My Domains then select your domain you wish to point to Amazon S3
  2. Click Domain Tools > DNS Management
  3. Select CNAME from Filter and then click Edit for the record named www.example.com
  4. Enter the Endpoint Amazon have provided you when you created your S3 Bucket into the Record entry, replacing any existing details. For example, www.mybucket.s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com. Click Save Record

– It may take up to 48 hours for your DNS changes to propagate
– You may need to clear your web browser cache to see the change

Step 2: Configure a Redirect for your domain to www.

  1. Log in to your DomainsFoundry Dashboard. Click Domains > My Domains then select your domain you wish to point to Amazon S3
  2. Click Domain Tools > Web Forwarding
  3. Select your domain you wish to point to Amazon S3 from the drop-down list.
  4. Enter http://www.example.com into the Redirects to field, replacing example.com with your own domain
  5. Select Do Not Redirect www.
  6. Click Add
