Summary
Learn how to quickly publish your iWeb website using your DomainsFoundry account instead of Apple MobileMe. We’ll show you how to publish your iWeb site to a local folder and then upload your site using FTP.
Publishing your site
- In iWeb, click ‘Site’.
iWeb select site - Select ‘Local Folder’ from the drop down list.

iWeb click choose - Select your Desktop and click ‘New Folder’.
- Enter ‘mysite’ for the folder name and click ‘Create’.
- Click ‘Choose’
- ‘Folder Location’ should now show ‘/Users/YourName/Desktop/mysite’.

iWeb publish site - iWeb will copy your website to the new ‘mysite’ folder on your desktop.

Uploading your site
- You will now need to upload your website using FTP. To do this first download and install CyberDuck which is free, open-source FTP program for Mac. [[How do I upload my website using Cyberduck FTP for Mac OSX?]]
- Open CyberDuck.
- Click ‘Open Connection’.

- Your FTP username.
- Your FTP password.
- Click ‘Connect’.
- A list of folders will now, double-click ‘httpdocs’ to open your public folder.
CyberDuck open 'httpdocs' - If this is the first time you have uploaded a website to your DomainsFoundry webspace then you will see the following files and folders. If you already have uploaded a website then we recommend deleting all files and folders apart from those listed.
CyberDuck default webspace - Open Finder.
Open Finder - Navigate to your ‘mysite’ folder on your desktop. Inside, open the second ‘mysite’ folder by double-clicking on it.
Finder select mysite - Select all the files in the folder by holding the Shift key + clicking the top and bottom files.
Finder select iWeb files - Drag the files and folders from Finder to CyberDuck.
Finder drag files to CyberDuck - CyberDuck will now begin to upload your files to your DomainsFoundry webspace.

- Open Safari.
- Enter your domain name into the address bar and press Enter.
