How to transfer a .com domain from 123-Reg to DomainsFoundry (and other gTLDs)

Transfer your .com domain from 123-Reg to DomainsFoundry using an EPP code (Domain Auth Code). The same steps apply to other gTLDs like .net and .org which use EPP/Auth codes to transfer.

Prerequisites

  • Access to your 123-Reg account
  • The contact email on your domain must be up to date

Steps

Unlock your domain

  1. Log in to your 123-Reg account.
  2. Open your 123-Reg domain listing.
  3. Click the domain you want to transfer.
  4. Click Domain Lock and switch it to Off.
  5. Click Continue.

Check your domain admin contact

  1. Under Contact Info, check your contact email is up to date.
  2. Click Edit if you need to change any information. This may delay your transfer.

Request an EPP Code (Domain Auth Code)

  1. Click Transfer to Another Registrar.
  2. Click Continue.
  3. Click Click here to see Authorization Code.

Order your domain transfer

  1. Open the DomainsFoundry domain checker and enter your domain name.
  2. The checker shows the price for transferring and renewing your domain for one extra year. Click Add to Basket next to your domain.
  3. Click Continue to Basket.
  4. Enter your Authorisation Code from earlier and follow the on-screen instructions to order your domain transfer.
  5. Click Proceed to checkout and follow the steps to place your domain transfer order.
  6. We’ll process your order and email you once your domain transfer has started.
