You can connect your DomainsFoundry domain to your Squarespace website using the steps below.

Cancel Pending Domain Transfer

If you started a domain transfer to Squarespace first cancel the pending transfer at Squarespace.

  1. Log in to your Squarespace account
  2. In the Home menu, click Settings, then click Domains.
  3. Click the domain that’s pending transfer.
  4. Click Cancel transfer.
  5. Confirm the cancellation.

Connect Domain at Squarespace

  1. Log in to your Squarespace account and click the website you’ve created.
  2. In the Home menu, click Settings, then click Domains.
  3. Click Use a Domain I Own
  4. Enter your domain name into the Domain Name field and click Continue
  5. Click Connect from provider
  6. Select Other for Domain Provider and click Connect Domain
  7. Click DNS Settings

Set up your Squarespace CNAME records

Add the verify.squarespace.com record:

  1. Open DomainsFoundry Dashboard and go to My Domains. Select your domain you wish to connect to Squarespace.
  2. From the menu, click DNS.
  3. In the Add New Record field enter the following:
    Name: Copy and paste the unique code Squarespace have provided to you. For example, 8zyqj3332vakb6v3dya6
    Type: CNAME
    Value: verify.squarespace.com
  4. Click Add

Add the www CNAME record:

  1. Click the Edit icon next to your www. CNAME DNS record.
  2. Change the Value entry and enter ext-cust.squarespace.com
  3. Click Save.

Set up your Squarespace A records

  1. Click the Edit icon next to your @ A DNS record.
  2. Change the Value entry and enter 198.185.159.144
  3. Click Save.
  4. In the Add New Record field enter the following:
    Name: @
    Type: A
    Value: 198.185.159.145
  5. Click Add
  6. In the Add New Record field enter the following:
    Name: @
    Type: A
    Value: 198.49.23.144
  7. Click Add
  8. In the Add New Record field enter the following:
    Name: @
    Type: A
    Value: 198.49.23.145
  9. Click Add

4. Refresh at Squarespace

Return to your Squarespace Domains panel, and click Refresh below the records to check your DNS is set up correctly.
