Are free email accounts included?
No. DomainsFoundry domain registrations do not include free email mailboxes. However, they do include free email forwarding.
What is included with a domain registration?
Each DomainsFoundry domain registration includes up to 10 free email forwarders.
Email forwarders allow you to create addresses such as:
info@yourdomain.co.uksales@yourdomain.co.uk
Any email sent to these addresses is automatically forwarded to an existing email mailbox (for example, Gmail, Outlook, your ISP email, or another DomainsFoundry email account).
Note: Email forwarders do not have their own mailbox.
What are the limitations of free email forwarders?
Free email forwarders:
- Do not include a mailbox
- Cannot be accessed via webmail
- Cannot be configured as POP or IMAP accounts
- Cannot store sent or received messages
- Are receive-and-forward only
Forwarders can send mail to any existing email address, including another paid DomainsFoundry email mailbox.
Why doesn’t DomainsFoundry offer free email mailboxes?
Free email mailboxes are frequently abused for spam and high-volume messaging, which can negatively affect server reputation and email deliverability.
To maintain reliable service, strong spam filtering, and consistent email delivery, DomainsFoundry offers full email mailboxes only through paid email plans.
What do paid email plans include?
DomainsFoundry paid email plans provide full mailbox functionality, including:
- Secure IMAP, POP, and SMTP access
- Webmail access
- Use with standard email clients
- Stored email and sent mail history
- Enhanced spam filtering and reliability
These plans allow you to send and receive email directly using your domain name.
Choosing the right option
- Free email forwarding is ideal if you already have an email account and just want messages sent to your domain address forwarded elsewhere.
- Paid email mailboxes are recommended if you want a full mailbox that you can log into, store email on, and use with your own email client.
