How can I add extra FTP users to my web hosting?

Use the steps below to create an additional FTP account in cPanel on your DomainsFoundry web hosting. Extra FTP accounts can be used to give your web developers access without having to provide your main account FTP details, keeping your account safer and more secure.

How-to create a FTP Account

  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. Click FTP Accounts
  3. Enter a log in for the user, for example, john
  4. Enter a password.
  5. Set the Directory for the user. For security, the FTP user can only access the directory set here. Access to other directories is blocked.
  6. Optional: Set a maximum quota for the FTP user.
  7. Click Create FTP Account

How-to delete a FTP Account

  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. Click FTP Accounts
  3. Click Delete on the FTP account you wish to remove.
  4. Click Delete to confirm the deletion.

The additional FTP account is instantly removed.
