EURid, the governing registry of .eu domains has stated that as the political and legal processes have yet to be determined no action will be taken against UK registrants of .eu domains as a result of the UK’s vote to leave.
In a recent blog post EURid have confirmed there will be no immediate changes to the rules governing the eligibility for UK residents to register, transfer or own .eu domain names.
As you may be aware, .eu domains require registrants are located within the European Union. At time of writing, the UK is still a member of the EU, so we wish to reassure all UK residents and companies you can continue to register .eu, transfer .eu and own .eu domains.
Rest assured we’ll continue to monitor the situation and keep you informed should EURid release further details of the effect of the EU referendum vote on UK registrants of .eu domains.
