How to change Nameservers for a domain

This guide shows you how to update your domain name servers

Steps to change name servers for your domain

  1. Log in to DomainsFoundry Dashboard.
  2. Go to My Domains.
  3. Click a domain you wish to manage.
  4. From the menu, click DNS.
  5. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to the Name servers section. Click Edit.
  6. Select Use custom name servers
  7. Enter a value for Nameserver 1
  8. Enter a value for Nameserver 2
  9. If you wish you can enter three additional name servers.
  10. Click Save

Your domain name will be updated with your new name servers within a few minutes. Please allow 48 hours for the name server changes to fully propagate and ISP DNS caches to clear.

How to bulk update your domain name servers

  1. Log in to DomainsFoundry Dashboard.
  2. Go to My Domains.
  3. Click the checkbox next to each domain you wish to update
  4. Click the Bulk Actions drop-down list and select Manage Name Servers.
  5. Select Use DomainsFoundry name servers to update your domains to use DomainsFoundry nameservers. Or select Use custom name servers and enter the name servers you wish to use in the Nameserver 1 to Nameserver 5 fields.
  6. Click Change Nameservers

Your domain names will be updated with your new name servers within a few minutes. Please allow 48 hours for the name server changes to fully propagate and ISP DNS caches to clear.

Please note, a minimum of two name servers is required for a domain name.
