Before you start checklist
Have the following ready before you start:
- Your domain name.
- Your email address.
- Your email password.
- DomainsFoundry SMTP bolt-on.
- Sparrow mail app installed on your Mac.
Setup IMAP email in Sparrow
- Open Sparrow.
- At the Welcome to Sparrow screen, enter your name, your DomainsFoundry email address, e.g. info@example.com, and password. Click Create
Enter Your Name, Email Address and Password - Enter:
- IMAP Server: mail.example.com. Replace example.com with your DomainsFoundry domain name.
- Login: Your DomainsFoundry email address. For example, info@example.com.
- Password: Your password for your email address.
- Port: 143
- Secure connection: Un-checked
Replace example.com with your DomainsFoundry domain name.
Click Next.
Enter your IMAP email account settings - Enter:
- SMTP Server: mail.example.com. Replace example.com with your DomainsFoundry domain name.
- Port: 25
- Secure connection: Un-Checked
- Use Authentication: Checked
- Login: Your DomainsFoundry email address. For example, info@example.com.
- Password: Your password for your email address.
Replace example.com with your DomainsFoundry domain name.
Click Next
Enter your SMTP email account settings - Click Done to finish setting up your DomainsFoundry email address in Sparrow.
Click Done to finish Sparrow mail setup
Congratulations. You’ve now configured Sparrow for Mac to send and receive email using IMAP.
