How do I update my 1&1 IONOS domain to connect to my DomainsFoundry hosting plan?

This article shows you how to update your domain’s name servers hosted by 1&1 IONOS – the German-based web hosting provider. This method does not transfer the domain to DomainsFoundry, so you’ll still need to contact 1&1 IONOS to renew your domain, or if you have a problem with your domain.   1. Log in to 1&1 IONOS.
  2. Click Domains.
  3. Select the domain you wish to manage.
  4. Click Advanced Settings. Click Continue.
  5. Click Edit under DNS Settings
  6. Under Name Server Settings, select Other name servers
  7. Enter ns1.domainsfoundry.co.uk for Name server 1.
  8. Select My secondary name servers from the Additional name servers drop-down list.
  9. Enter ns2.domainsfoundry.co.uk for Name server 2
  10. Click Save then click Yes

Note:

  • The name server change may take up to 72 hours to complete.
  • If your domain has expired you will need to renew it first before updating your name servers.
  • We can only support domains registered or transferred to us. If you have any difficulties you will need to contact 1&1 IONOS for help.
