Using FileZilla to connect to your cPanel FTP

Overview

FileZilla is a free, open-source FTP client for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. You can use FileZilla to connect to any DomainsFoundry service using FTP, SFTP, and Terminal.

Instructions

  1. Download FileZilla for Windows or Mac
  2. Install FileZilla
  3. Open FileZilla
  4. At the top you’ll see Host, Username, Password and Port
  5. In these boxes you’ll want to enter your DomainsFoundry FTP details. These will be as follows:
    • Hostname: ftp.yourdomainname.com
    • Username: Your DomainsFoundry cPanel username. This can be found in your DomainsFoundry Dashboard > Products / Services
    • Password: Your DomainsFoundry cPanel password
    • Port: 21
  6. After entering these details, click the Quickconnect button
  7. FileZilla will connect to your DomainsFoundry web space. A series of messages will appear in the top window, with message Directory listing successful
