This article explains how you can point your domain names you have registered elsewhere at your DomainsFoundry hosting account by updating your domain name servers (DNS).
What is a domain name server?
A domain name server (DNS), or simply, name server is a computer that stores domain name records.
What Domain Name Servers should I use?
Please update your domain to use the following DomainsFoundry domain name servers.:
- ns1.domainsfoundry.co.uk
- ns2.domainsfoundry.co.uk
How long will my domain take to update?
It usually takes around 24 to 48 hours for the changes to your domain’s name servers to come into effect. Some domain registrars can take longer.
I’ve updated my domain but it is not working?
- Wait at least 48 hours first for your domain names to update to use our domain name servers.
- Check that the name servers you have entered are correct. A simple typo can stop your domain from working.
- Check your DomainsFoundry web hosting account is active.
- If none of above has worked then contact your existing domain registrar to see why the name server change hasn’t worked.
I can’t update my domain. Can you help?
Yes we can. You can transfer your domain to DomainsFoundry and we can handle all your domain updates for you. Transferring your domain name is simple, easy and quick.
