How do I add or change MX records for my domain?

This article explains how to add or change MX records for your DomainsFoundry domain name and point your domain at your own custom email service.

Add a MX Record

1. Log in to your DomainsFoundry Dashboard.
2. Click Domains.
3. Click the domain name you want to manage.
4. From the menu, Click Domain Tools > DNS Management.
5. Select MX from the Filter to only show your domain’s MX records.
   
6. Click the Arrow next to Add Record and select Add MX Record.
   
7. Enter the Priority and Destination fields for your new MX record and click Add Record
   

Your domain name will be instantly updated with your new DNS MX record. However if you can’t see the change on your PC or Mac then it’s likely your router has a cache of your old DNS records. Please allow 48 hours for these DNS caches to clear.

Edit a MX Record

1. Log in to your DomainsFoundry Dashboard.
2. Click Domains.
3. Click the domain name you want to manage.
4. From the menu, Click Domain Tools > DNS Management.
5. Select MX from the Filter to only show your domain’s MX records.
   
6. Click Edit next to the MX record you want to change. The default MX record is mail.example.com
   
7. Enter the new Priority and Destination changes for your existing MX record and click Save Record.
   

Delete a MX Record

1. Log in to your DomainsFoundry Dashboard.
2. Click Domains.
3. Click the domain name you want to manage.
4. From the menu, Click Domain Tools > DNS Management.
5. Select MX from the Filter to only show your domain’s MX records.
   
6. Click Delete next to the MX record you wish to remove.
   
7. Click Continue to confirm.

How long does it take for my MX Record change to appear?
