What is DomainsFoundry Webmail 2.0?
Web Mail is a web-based e-mail service that allows you to access your email account using your web browser.

How do I login?
Login at http://webmail.domainsfoundry.co.uk.

What’s my username and password?
Your username is your email address, and your password is the one you have chosen in your DomainsFoundry cPanel.

What’s ‘Remember Me?’
This saves your username and password on your computer, so you do not need to login next time. Do not
tick this if you’re using a shared or public computer.

Do I need to do anything after logging in?
Yes. If it’s the first time you’ve logged in you’ll need to set up your Identity.

How can I view my old folders?

  1. Click Settings.
  2. Click the Folders tab.
  3. Tick the subscribe box next to your folders.

Click the DomainsFoundry Webmail 2.0 logo to go back to your Inbox view. You’ll now see your subscribed folders listed on the left.

How do I backup my mail?
You can download a copy of every message in Web Mail to an email client using POP. See [[Backup Policy]].

How do I view an email?
To view a message, you can double-click it. Or, just click once if you have Show preview pane enabled (Settings > Mailbox View). If you have the preview pane enabled, you can use your keyboards Up and Down keys to move through your emails.

How do I search my email?

How do I check for new messages?
Web Mail checks for new email when you login and then every 10 mins. New email is also checked after the following actions:

  • Clicking on any folder in the folder list.
  • Clicking Check for new message button from the main menu.
  • Clicking E-mail in the toolbar menu in the top right.
  • Press ‘u‘ key when in mailbox mode.

How can I make my emails sort by date?

  1. Login to Web Mail.
  2. Click Settings in the top right menu.
  3. Click User Interface from the menu on the left of your screen.
  4. Uncheck Use message index for sorting by date.
  5. Click Save.

How do I delete email?

How do I change my webmail settings?
Login to webmail and click Personal Settings in the top right menu.

What’s the largest attachment size?
You can upload attachments up to 5 megabytes (MB) in size.

How do I select multiple messages?

What’s the largest email size?
DomainsFoundry Webmail 2.0, lets you send and receive emails up to 25 megabytes (MB) in size.

How can I setup an Autoresponder?

How do I change my email password?
Login to DomainsFoundry cPanel click Email Accounts and select your email address. You can now change your password.

Can I view Web Mail on my smartphone?
To view your email messages on your smart phone please use your phone’s built-in email client. To setup iPhone see: [[How to setup POP3 on iPhone, iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS]]. DomainsFoundry Webmail 2.0 is a Mac/PC app only.

Can check my Hotmail email account?
No. Web Mail only works with email accounts hosted with DomainsFoundry. If you try any check an email account hosted elsewhere, you’ll just see a login error.

I don’t like your new Web Mail. Can I have the old one back?
No. The old webmail has been removed and we’ve recycled the old servers. It’s possible to make Web Mail display messages like the old one. See ‘How do I disable the preview pane?’ below.

How do I disable the preview pane?

  1. Login to Web Mail.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click Mailbox View
  4. Untick Show preview pane.
  5. Click Save.

Why does my deleted email stay visible?
When you delete an email, it’s first flagged for deletion. Click ‘Compact’, or logout to remove your deleted messages forever. This method of deleting offer many benefits. It’s fast, reliable, secure, and allows you to save lot’s of messages in your inbox without any slow-down. Having a two-step delete also reduces the chance you’ll delete an important message by accident.

What browser do you recommend using to view DomainsFoundry Webmail?
We recommend Chrome Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Internet Explorer 8. We do not recommend using Internet Explorer 6 or 7 due to their poor support for web standards.

What other web hosts use the same webmail?
None. Whilst you may see similar webmail apps, Web Mail  is 100% unique to DomainsFoundry.

Advanced FAQs

How do I manage my other email accounts?
Sign into your DomainsFoundry cPanel and click ‘Email’.

How do I enable spam filtering?

Can I check my external mailboxes?
No. It’s not possible to collect email from external mailboxes. Instead, configure your external mailboxes to send email to your DomainsFoundry email address.

Does DomainsFoundry Webmail work in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6?
We do not support IE6, however you’ll still find that most features work fine. For the best experience we urge you to try Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Internet Explorer 8

Why do I see two Sent/Spam folders?To work properly Web Mail requires special folders to save drafts, sent, spam and deleted email.  If you also your email using an IMAP client like Outlook, you may find its created its own special folders. See [[Special Folders]] for more info.

What is the session timeout?
If Web Mail is left unattended it will automatically log you out after one hour.
