Tap Settings.
Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendar
Tap the specific account you are having a problem with.
Tap on the Account button at the top (usually your E-Mail address).
You will see your server information.
Swipe to the bottom and tap Advanced.
Go to Deleted Messages.
Tap Remove and tap Never.
Tap Advanced in the top left.
Tap Account.
Tap Done.
