As of 1st March 2016, Nominet increased the wholesale prices for .uk domains. You can now register .uk domains at DomainsFoundry, a Nominet Accredited Channel Partner, from £6.99/yr with free email, DNS and support.
Why has the .uk price changed?
Nominet, the .uk domain name registry in the United Kingdom increased the wholesale prices for .UK domain registrations and .uk domain renewals by 50% on 1st March 2016.
This industry-wide price increase affects the amount DomainsFoundry, is charged for registering and renewing all UK domain names (.uk, .co.uk, .org.uk, .me.uk and .ltd.uk). All other domain name prices remain at their everyday low prices.
What does this mean for your .UK domains?
At DomainsFoundry we’re all about excellent value, hassle-free domain registration services. So when a registrar increases the wholesale price of a domain name we do everything within our power to absorb the price increase. This is why our prices are consistently low.
The size of Nominet’s wholesale price increase (the first price rise for UK domains since 1999) means, unfortunately that we (and the rest of the domain industry) have to increase the price we charge for all UK domain name registrations and renewals, effective 1st March 2016.
We understand price rises can be disappointing, however at just £6.99 plus VAT per year, .uk domains are still cheaper than many other domain names and .uk continue to represent fantastic value for money. And of course, as a DomainsFoundry customer you’ll continue to benefit from our great bundle of free domain extras worth £19 per year. Including free personal email at your own domain, free DNS, free website & email forwarding and free UK-based support.
Thank you for choosing DomainsFoundry.
