How-to create a full backup of your cPanel account

This article describes how-to create a full backup of your Domains Foundry shared-Hosting account.

A full backup includes all of the files in your home directory, your MySQL Databases, and your email forwarders and filters.

Checklist

Have the following ready before you start:

• Your Domains Foundry plan
• Your cPanel login details

Steps for creating a full backup

1. Login to your Domains Foundry cPanel. See [[How to Login to cPanel]]
2. Click Backups
   
   

   cPanel Backups

3. Click Download or Generate a Full Website Backup
   

   Click Download or Generate a Full Web Site Backup

4. Select Home Directory
5. Enter an email address to receive a email notification when the full backup has completed
6. Click Generate Backup
   

   Select Home Directory, click Generate Backup

7. The full backup will begin. How long it will take to create depends on how much data your account is using.

cPanel

1. Login to your Domains Foundry cPanel. See [[How to Login to cPanel]]
2. Click Backups

3. Click Download or Generate a Full Website Backup
   

   Click Download or Generate a Full Web Site Backup

4. Click the backup file link under Backups Available to Download
   

   Click the link to download your backup

5. Save to your PC or Mac
   

   Save the cPanel Full Backup File to your PC/Mac

FTP

1. Login to your FTP account
2. Download the .tar.gz backup file
